Service Agreement

By using our services, you agree to these terms. We provide tree removal, pruning, hedge trimming, stump grinding, and related arborist services to the best of our ability using qualified personnel and appropriate equipment.

Estimates and Authorization

• All estimates are valid for 30 days.
• Estimates are based on visible conditions and the information available at the time of inspection. Hidden defects (rot, metal or other foreign objects in the tree, underground obstacles, etc.) may affect the final price.
• We will contact you for authorization before performing work that exceeds the estimate by more than 10%, except where immediate action is required to address an urgent safety issue.
• You are responsible for authorizing all work and for confirming you have the authority (as owner or agent) to approve tree work on the property.

Payment Terms

• Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
• For larger projects, we may require a deposit prior to scheduling or commencing work.
• We accept cash, debit, and major credit cards.
• A service charge may apply to returned or declined payments.
• Unpaid accounts may be subject to collection, interest charges, and recovery of reasonable collection costs.

Appointments, Site Access, and Cancellations

• Please provide at least 24 hours notice for appointment cancellations or rescheduling.
• We reserve the right to charge a fee for no-shows or late cancellations without notice.
• You are responsible for ensuring safe and reasonable access to the work area, including moving vehicles, clearing personal items, and securing pets.
• Tree work is weather-dependent. For safety reasons, we may postpone or reschedule work due to high winds, storms, or other unsafe conditions.

Warranties

• Our workmanship is warranted to meet industry standards at the time the work is performed.
• Because trees and plants are living organisms affected by weather, pests, disease, and site conditions, we cannot guarantee the future health, stability, or performance of any tree or plant.
• Warranty does not cover damage or issues arising from misuse, neglect, subsequent work by others, or changes to the site after our work is completed.

Liability

• We take reasonable precautions to protect your property. However, minor damage to lawns, gardens, or surface roots may occur when moving equipment; such incidental damage is not covered.
• You are responsible for clearly identifying property boundaries, sensitive areas, and any private underground services (e.g., irrigation lines, private utilities, invisible fencing). We are not liable for damage to items that were not accurately identified or marked.
• Public utilities must be located by the appropriate utility locating service where required. We are not responsible for delays caused by utility locating requirements.
• Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, including but not limited to loss of use or loss of value.
• We are not responsible for damage or injury caused by trees, limbs, or stumps after the agreed-upon work is completed, nor for future storms or natural events.

Debris, Wood, and Stumps

• Unless otherwise specified in the estimate, our services include cleanup of branches and debris from the work performed and leaving the site in a broom-swept condition.
• Removal of wood, chipping of branches, or cutting firewood to specific lengths will be performed only if stated in the estimate.
• Stump grinding and removal are separate services and are included only when specifically listed on the estimate or invoice.

Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate information about the property, trees, and site conditions.
• Ensuring safe access to the work area, including moving vehicles, outdoor furniture, and other obstacles.
• Marking or informing us of underground utilities and private services (e.g., irrigation, lighting, drainage, invisible pet fences).
• Securing pets and informing occupants or neighbours who may be affected by noise, access, or temporary road/driveway closures.
• Reviewing the work at completion and raising any concerns promptly.

Dispute Resolution

Any disputes will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of British Columbia. We encourage you to contact us directly as soon as possible so we can work with you to resolve any concerns.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of our services after any changes are posted or communicated constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
